International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) - 3rd December 2022. IDPwD is a United Nations (UN) observed day celebrated on 3 December each year. It is a day to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of people with disability and promote awareness, understanding and acceptance in our community. Around one in six people, or 4.4 million Australians, have disability. Not all disability is the same, and some disabilities are invisible. By joining the conversation and listening to the stories and lived experiences of people with disability, we can challenge our own perceptions about disability and help make positive changes in the community. We can’t wait to celebrate the contributions and achievements of people with disability. BAM ARTS are celebrating International Day of People with Disability on Saturday 3rd December.
There is lots of fun happening with open dance classes, sausage sizzle and a dance party! And don't miss the grand opening of our the NEW BAM Cafe. It is an celebration not to be missed!!!

It’s inspiring to see the focus on recognising the achievements of people with disability on this important day. By taking part in NDIS group programs like https://personnelgroup.com.au/employment/ndis-group-programs/, individuals can find community support and share experiences that help challenge perceptions about disability. These programs offer a fantastic way to foster inclusion and celebrate the diverse contributions of everyone.
