International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) - 3rd December 2022.
IDPwD is a United Nations (UN) observed day celebrated on 3 December each year. It is a day to acknowledge the contributions and achievements of people with disability and promote awareness, understanding and acceptance in our community.

Around one in six people, or 4.4 million Australians, have disability. Not all disability is the same, and some disabilities are invisible. By joining the conversation and listening to the stories and lived experiences of people with disability, we can challenge our own perceptions about disability and help make positive changes in the community.

We can’t wait to celebrate the contributions and achievements of people with disability.

Thank you for highlighting the significance of International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD). It's heartening to see awareness being raised about the contributions and challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.

In my experience, creating more employment opportunities for people with disabilities is crucial. Providing inclusive workplaces not only benefits individuals with disabilities but also enriches organisations with diverse perspectives and talents. By promoting understanding and acceptance, we can foster environments where everyone can thrive.

Looking forward to celebrating the achievements of people with disabilities on 3rd December!

It’s inspiring to see the focus on recognising the achievements of people with disability on this important day. By taking part in NDIS group programs like https://personnelgroup.com.au/employment/ndis-group-programs/, individuals can find community support and share experiences that help challenge perceptions about disability. These programs offer a fantastic way to foster inclusion and celebrate the diverse contributions of everyone.
